Birth & Innocence – The First Chapter of Life
Every story begins with a first page, and for us, that page is birth. The moment we arrive in this world, we step into a journey that we did not choose, yet one that defines us in countless ways. Birth is not just the beginning of life—it is the beginning of innocence, purity, and the untouched beauty of existence.

Life begins with a cry. The moment we are born, our very first act is to breathe and cry. And yet, that cry is not sorrow—it is the sound of life announcing, “I am here.”
Think about it… we enter this world with no name, no fear, no burden. Just a tiny heartbeat wrapped in innocence. We don’t know what pain is, we don’t know what betrayal means, we don’t know the weight of responsibilities. All we know is the warmth of touch, the rhythm of a heartbeat close to ours, and the comfort of being held.
In those first moments, life is pure. We don’t chase money, power, or recognition. We don’t worry about tomorrow. We simply exist. And in that existence, there is peace—a kind of peace that we spend the rest of our lives trying to find again.
The Fragility of Innocence
When we are infants, we cannot walk, speak, or even feed ourselves. We are fragile, breakable, and yet, somehow stronger than we will ever be again. Because in that helplessness lies a truth—we trust. We trust without questions. We trust that someone will feed us when we cry, hold us when we’re scared, and love us when we smile.
That is the kind of trust we lose as we grow older. We learn fear, we learn doubt, we learn to protect ourselves from hurt. But in the beginning, there is none of that—only innocence that believes the world is safe.
The Magic of First Times
As the days pass, life opens itself slowly before our eyes.
The first smile.
The first word.
The first step.
Each of these is not just a milestone, but a miracle. The smallest achievements feel like victories. The world is not ordinary yet—it is full of wonder. A butterfly isn’t just an insect, it is magic with wings. Rain isn’t a weather change, it is heaven’s play. Shadows aren’t frightening, they are friends that dance along.
Through innocence, we see beauty where adults see routine. We see miracles where others see nothing.
The Lost Treasure
And then, slowly, as life moves forward, this phase fades. Innocence slips away, replaced by knowledge, rules, comparisons, and fears. But that first chapter—the chapter of birth and innocence—is where we were the closest to truth. Where love was unconditional, joy was simple, and life was enough, just as it was.
Maybe that’s why people say childhood is the happiest time. Not because it was free from problems, but because our hearts were still untouched by the heaviness of the world.
A Reminder for Us All
If there’s one lesson this phase whispers to us, it is this: never lose the child inside you. Because deep down, that innocent self still exists—buried under years of pain, expectations, and struggle. It’s still there, waiting for you to remember how to laugh freely, how to trust without fear, how to find wonder in the simplest of things.
Closing Thought
Birth and innocence is the sunrise of our life’s journey. It is the soft glow before the storms, the purity before the complications, the truth before the lies.
We all began there.
And maybe, if we close our eyes and listen carefully, we can still hear that first cry, reminding us of the day life welcomed us with open arms.
